Just checking the disk using the [http://www.authorsoft.com/usb-disk-storage-format-tool.html "USB Disk Storage Format Tool 5.3"] cured my SDcard's read only problem without having to format. Tried reformatting using HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool available from Softpedia. The tool hung and could not be stopped with nothing happening.
Tried reformatting card using this tool but did not work (stuck at 75).
Just checking the disk using the "USB Disk Storage Format Tool 5.3" cured my SDcard's read only problem without having to format. Must install in all machines.
